Description
Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) with support of JICA and Sumitomo Corporation is developing a Japanese Economic Zone (referred to as Bangladesh Special Economic Zone-BSEZ, initially named as Araihazar Economic Zone-AEZ) under Araihazar upazila and Narayanganj district which is adjacent to the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. Total Development Area is 190ha (469.5 acres- Including Phase 1 & Phase 2)

Services
Supervision of the overall construction works which includes:
Road Works (Main Road – 1,700 meters & Sub Road – 150 meters)
Drainage Systems (Box culvert – 120 meters & Retention Canal – 1,200 meters)
Water Supply System (Deep well – 2 Nos., Transmission networks – 1250 meters HDPE & Ductile iron pipe)
Distribution Networks (3,752 meters HDPE, Ductile iron pipe, Galvanized steel pipe, & Stainless-steel pipe)
Sewage Systems (Booster pump station – 1 No. & 1,625 meters Ductile cast iron, Pre-cast reinforce concrete pipe, & HDPE double wall spiral pipe)
Power Supply & Street Lighting (5,000 meters 33 kV overhead cable line, 2,500 meters overhead cable line, 100 meters unground cable line, Street lighting – 89 Nos., Transformer 630 kVA with Building, Disel generator 630 kVA with Building, 70 meters HDPE underground pipe)
Telecommunication Systems (3,900 meters)
Gas Distribution Pipeline (1,160 meters)
Water Purification Plant (WTP) – 3.000 m3/day
Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) – 2,400 m3/day
